Karen's crafts, collectibles, clothes, clocks, and more! I am a teacher, my husband is a machinist, and our daughter is a teenager. We live on an acreage and raise bees, turkeys and chickens; have a garden, sell at farmers markets, and like to try to live off the land as much as we can. We hunt, can our own food, grow perennials to sell, make jewelry, stained glass items, and more. I started selling on ebay in October of 2005 because I needed to clean house. I did not get to have my annual fall garage sale, but I needed to get rid of some things. My first item listed was a sweater I bought for my husband and he did not like it - so I listed it for $1 and it sold for $26.50. I was hooked! My original goal was to list 2-3 items a day. Some days I list over 10 - this is addictive, but my husband says as long as I'm selling and not buying, it's ok! (I do buy a few things :). Lately, we have started to run out of items in the store room to sell. So we cleaned the attic out. My husband has been collecting clocks since I met him. He won't buy a clock that works because that's not a challenge. He used to spend lots of time with the clocks before we bought our acreage - now he does not have time. (No pun intended!) So I requested that he go through and let me sell those that he can bear to part with. We've sold a few anniversary clocks and mantle clocks. There are quite a few more to go - from anniversary to cuckoo clocks - so keep watching! Our daughter is making her own line of jewelry, so we'll be adding those originals soon. Mushroom season will soon be upon us, so I may be offering some of those, too. Come back and visit us often! I might even get my husband to sell some of his extra machinist tools! Watch for that!
