My Favorite Childhood Memory: Catching Fireflies
|
I have always felt inspired to capture the past in paintings whose every corner tells a story. When painting an image, I live in its world where meaningful details speak to my senses. Horseshooves click on cobblestone and the fragrance of lilacs floats by on a breeze from the sea. My art has a childlike quality because it is inspired by my own childhood. It is my hope that my folk art prints will create a sense of well-being as they remind viewers of their own favorite people, places, and times.
I honored that my folk art has been featured by The White House, Panasonic, Bigelow Tea, the Today Show and on the covers of US Air magazine and Country Living. Since 1987 Ie sold over 35,000 art prints.
