Welcome to My About Me Page! I have been selling books on eBay since January of 2004. I specialize in books by "The Inklings" -- especially JRR Tolkien. Unlike many who have decided to catch the wave of Tolkien enthusiasm since the movie trilogy came out, I have been a fan of Tolkien since the early 1970's. I have actually READ his Middle-earth works: The Hobbit, and the entire Lord of the Rings "trilogy", as well as The Silmarillion and Unfinished Tales. I have also enjoyed much of Tolkien's other fiction including Smith of Wootton Major and Farmer Giles of Ham, and the recently released Mr. Bliss and Roverandom. I also have read the "authorized bibliographies" -- Tolkien (1977) by Humphrey Carpenter and Tolkien and the Great War (2003) by John Garth. ... and other books about Tolkien too numerous to mention!
Over the years, I have seen literally hundreds of books by and about Tolkien, and have become somewhat of an expert on the different "editions". I hope to create several eBay "Guides" to help those who want to collect Tolkien books. A link to my first Guide is given below.
I have also been a fan of C S Lewis long before The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was released as a feature move in 2005. This interest was first kindled in the late 1970's while in college. I have read much of his non-fiction as well as much of his fiction, including The Chronicles of Narnia and the Space Trilogy (Out of the Silent Planet, Perelandra and That Hideous Strength) and lesser known works like 'Til We Have Faces.
I have also read some of fellow Inkling Charles Williams' works, and have listed some of his books in my Store.
I encourage you to browse my Feedback. I am proud of my reputation, and do my best to serve. The only negative I have was retaliation from a non-paying bidder. My shipping charge includes Delivery Confirmation (when possible) and packaging. I recycle as much packing material as I can, but do need to buy new materials from time to time so that you are not disappointed when your package arrives. I know what it is like to get books in the mail that were not well packaged and were mishandled by the Postal Service.
