A few Celtic Fibulas
|
Hi and welcome to my "About me" page.
My name is Mark and I was born in Weston-super-mere in the county of Somerset, England in 1966. My parents emigrated to Australia in 1969 leaving me no choice but to come along.
I have always been interested in history back to my school days, though only become besotted with it in 1992 when I went to England for a holiday and purchased my first antiquity, a Roman trumpet-type Fibula. As I drove around I visited all the towns little museums aswell as the major ones in London. I even stood on Hadrian's Wall, had a dram of Whisky and looked in awe at the wonder that stretched for miles.
My main areas of interest are Fibulas, Roman glass, Proto money, Greek coins and beads of antiquity. I have writen several articles for Archaeological Diggings magazine over the last couple of years.
Please be assured that everything that I sell is totally genuine. I will not pass on a copy or a pasticcio. (Pasticcio is an Italian word meaning hodgepodge. In the language of art and archaeology, it refers to a piece composed of various alien elements combined to create the semblance of an intact object). This happens all too often.
