So who is Marshall anyway?

In 2003, my husband and I lost our second child before he was born. We named him Marshall. Though it was the worst time I've been through in my life, it was also the best. Mercifully, though I considered myself a Christian previously, I met God in that hospital room that day and was thoroughly changed forever. Consequently, you will see that all of the jewelry I design, contain a cross of some kind as I consider it my way of 'paying back' the God who has been so good to me!

I started making jewelry about 15 years ago - mainly for myself. I was - and still am - a HUGE collector and fan of Native American jewelry, and I began to learn how to make some turquoise pieces because I was a starving student and couldn't afford the things I wanted to buy! One of those blessed people who can teach themselves to do about anything, one of my first pieces was a triple strand graduated turquoise Native American style necklace called a jocla. Though many have wanted it, I still haven't been able to part with it!
After Marshall died, jewelry making kept my mind occupied doing something other than ruminating over "what if's" so I began to do it on a more regular basis. I started with semi-precious stones and sterling because that is what I liked and was used to, but after aquiring some of my Grandmother's nice costume jewelry, I got interested in vintage things. |

Consequently, though I still work with sterling and semi-precious stones, I have begun working more and more with vintage pieces - either designing new pieces with old, or simply restoring the old. I have learned where to buy replacement stones and parts and how to make even the yuckiest looking piece come alive again. I don't 'recycle' my stones - I use either brand new Austrian or Czech rhinestones, or unused vintage that I usually buy right here on EBAY! I don't use Elmers or super glue, I use glue made for jewelry repair and settings, so quality of repair isn't an issue. I do say, though, if you ever have questions about any of my things, do not HESITATE to email. I'm happy to answer any questions!
Thanks for your interest in my site and my work.
God Bless, Jenni
