Setting up the Equipment for Treatment
Y ou will need to purchase a foot soaking tub. Big Lots has a "Steri" brand 18 liter tub for about Two Dollars. Make sure your feet fit comfortably in the tub close to the Array but not touching.
Place the Power Unit where it will NOT fall into the foot tub of water. If that happens you will be electrocuted, at the very least, you will have a VERY bad day.
If cables are bolted onto array:
Place the Steel Ion Generating Bars (Array) in the tub filling it to so that the top of the Array bars are BELOW the water line when your feet are in the tub.
If your system came with clip-on cables:
Attach the clips of the cables as follows: Red to one of the Array bars, Black to the other one. DO NOT ATTACH BOTH CABLE TO THE SAME BAR! Do NOT fill the tub to a level that covers the Clips.
IMPORTANT: Add 1 teaspoon of the Himalayan Sea Salt (provided with the system) to the tub water. You can also spray the Arrays with amcooking oil, or coconut oil to protect them from the acids that are pulled from your body into the tub water.
On the other end of the cables are anana Plugs Plug them into the color coded jacks on the front of the Power Unit. Only turn on the Power Unit after you have the correct water level, Himalayan Sea Salt and wires connected properly. When removing the Banana Jacks from the power unit, DO NOT PULL ON THE WIRES. Pull on the plugs.
After placing your feet in the tub water, get comfortable and we suggest doing a 30 - 45 minute treatment the first few times you use the system. After a few minutes, you should notice bubbles forming on the Ion Generating Bars in the array.
The optimal water temperature should be that of a very hot bath. However, if you have calluses on the bottom of your feet, we suggest you put extremely hot water in the tub and soak your feet for a few minutes before turning on the system.
During Treatments
Drink at least a quart of water, including electrolytes (such as the meren-Cpackets) during the treatment! This unit stimulates the Lymphatic System which requires a LOT of water to function properly. If you are dehydrated, do NOT do a treatment because it will only further dehydrate you.
During the treatment, y ou may experience a slight feeling of euphoria. This is due to your lymphatic system being stimulated and endorphins being released in your brain.
Anything you can do to relax and stay stress free during the treatment will be beneficial.
Above all else, do NOT be stressed out when you do the treatment. Stress is a key factor in the impairment of the Lymphatic System, as is not being adequately hydrated. Changing the position of your feet in the water is fine. Flexing the muscles in your feet and ankles during the treatment is beneficial.
Try to think of peaceful things or things you love, like kids, pets, partners, etc. during the treatment. Meditation works well. So does prayer. Every few minutes close your eyes, take a few deep, slow breaths focusing on a mental picture of the toxins being pulled down your body and out through the pores of your feet.
Following the Treatment
When your treatment is over, turn off the power unit, take your feet out of the water, and dry them off. We suggest you also wash them well afterwards. Unless you feel woozy, a hot shower is good. The stuff in the tub is bodily waste. Flush it down the toilet! After your treatment, drink a lot of water and take a nap and/or rest.
It is extremely important to clean the Array immediately following the treatment using the cleaner shipped with your system!
In view of recent treatment result reports from Naturopathic MD using our system, we have renamed our system the Ionic Body Balancer. It is now clear to us that our system does much more than other Ionic Detox foot spas on the market. This is due to design of our Array as well as the type and strength of the power produced by our Power Unit.
Caveats, Cautions and Common Sense
People with Pacemakers, Transplant Recipients, Electronic Implants, or who are Pregnant should NOT use these units!
Exercise EXTREME caution setting up the power unit so it cannot be knocked into the tub water where your feet are resting. While only 14 volts of DC power comes OUT of the Unit, 120 volt household Alternating Current goes INTO it.
