Our Mission, Purpose and Goal.
The idea came from the founder and now President, Steven Brown, who after over 25 years in the electronics and computer field, decided it was time someone develop a support system for the independent and freelance computer technology specialists in the area and beyond.
“It’s getting harder for the individual computer technician to compete with the big guys, or even to find a technical job in the Ozarks.” Says Brown, a fifteen-year veteran of the Navy as an Electronic Warfare Technician; fourteen-year veteran in running his own computer services business (Brown’s Computer Services); with over nine years in education, first at Gibson Technical Center in Reeds Spring, and Vatterott College, in Springfield.
Our five-fold purpose is to: (1.) build a network of technology experts, independent technicians and computer-related businesses (2.) provide a forum for area computer technology professionals (3.) share work referrals (4.) assist with career search and job placement and (5.) help with training and industry certifications.
