Meek's Books and Other Stuff

Most of you are in the U.S., but I have shipped a lot to International/Overseas locations. A lot to Canada, but other countries as well. Here is the list of overseas locations that I have shipped to:
Hawaii, Canada, Australia, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Japan, Mexico, The United Kingdom, Malta, Iraq, Denmark, Greece, Italy (Rome), Norway.
Me? I'm an old Air Force Brat, born deep in the heart of Texas (San Marcos). And mostly raised in Texas, too.
We did our share of travel, of course. We traveled a lot in the Western U.S., and I've lived in Idaho and Washington State. We lived in Panama back in the 1950's, and my brother was born there.
I went to four different High Schools, and completed the full year at each one. I graduated from Lajes Navy Dependents High School in the Azores, Portugal. So my High School diploma has the seal of the Department of Defense on it. :)

I came back to North Texas after graduating High School and attended the University of Texas at Arlington in the 1970's. I dropped out after 2 years but returned to UTA and completed my B.B.A. degree and graduated in December, 1983. I am the first person in Mom's and Dad's side of the family to complete a college education.
I've lived in the Dallas area since the 1970's and love it here.
I have almost 20 years experience as a Purchasing Manager in a manufacturing environment. I am "between opportunities" currently due to our company closing our local operation.
I have been going to a lot of Estate and Garage Sales recently. That is where I find the books I am selling here on eBay. I try to focus on First Editions and quality books that I think can sell here. Being an experienced Purchasing Manager, I find I can often get good bargains on the books I buy.
Please note that I WILL combine shipments so that buyers of mulitiple items can get reduced shipping rates on the combined shipments. Why anyone would not offer combined shipping like that is beyond me. It's difficult for me to understand people like that. When I buy something on eBay, I would expect the seller to offer that to the customer, and so I offer to combine shipments for my customers.
I have a lot of books, so if you are interested in a specific one, let me know. If I have it on hand, I will list it. If I don't have it, I will keep an eye out for items requested.
