Always had a fascination with creating jewelry and then wearing my own designs.  Ideas were all over the place especially when I would see a jewelry design I had to have but couldn’t afford.  The challenge then would be to figure out how to create that design as close as possible for a fraction of the cost.  I started selling things from my house, jewelry I didn’t wear anymore or never wore (many items purchased on eBay), some designs I created but mainly I was selling leftover jewelry beads and findings that I didn’t need anymore (my design was created).   

Working full-time, involved with our sons sports schedule, I got a bit overwhelmed with jewelry design commitments.  Then I discovered that, if I was organized in what I had to make, I could take a lot of the tedious parts of my jewelry designs to his practices and games and work on them there killing two birds with one stone.   I have a small office and workshop set up where I do my thing and my husband fills the orders, packages up sets of beads for future sale and gets everything into boxes and mailers and then he's takes off to the post office.  This routine is like almost every day!  It's great to be able to do this out of the house as it makes it much easier to check on how the cookin' is going in the kitchen – it’s now very streamlined for us.  Course we do get some interruptions from our shelter cat that often comes to check out what we've got going on.

I am constantly looking for new creative ideas for customers and gifts for family and friends.  I get a lot of requests for different pieces of jewelry, unique toggles for those that are trying to make their own jewelry & bead pens created with large hole lamp work beads of the buyer’s choice complete with gift bag. 

So Merzies was a way for me to let my creative side out turning a hobby into a business with the ability to work at it on my own terms – and at home - while maintaining a full-time job and running a household.  Best of all my husband and I can do it together.  I can’t wait until I retire and can do this full-time – oooh, what fun that will be!

INCORRECT OR DAMAGED ITEMs:  Oops, sometimes boo-boo's happen and we are very sorry as we always try very hard to be accurate in what we send and careful in packing.  Please contact us immediately so we can resolve the issue pronto - all shipping costs will be reimbursed or any additional shipping charges will be incurred.  Once incorrect or damaged item(s) have been received, you will be refunded in full promptly.

RETURNs:  We offer a 7-day return policy from the date you received, via your USPS tracking #, no questions asked.  Just send us an email so we know you are returning thus notifying us to watch for your returned package.  Shipping costs are not refundable.  All returns must be in original condition and box packaging.  Once your return is received, your refund for merchandise will be refunded promptly.  Once refund has been made a mutual withdrawal agreement will be filed to cancel your transactions.

DETAILED SELLER RATINGs (DSRs):  Your star ratings are really important to our business on eBay.  If we have provided you with outstanding service, you have received your merchandise just as described, shipped quickly & safely with a very fair 7-DAY COMBINING PERIOD for one flat shipping, handling, delivery confirmation & insurance fee - a great deal - we would greatly appreciated your giving us 5 stars for that excellent service, product & quick shipping.  EBays new rules on stars rates 4 stars as a 4.0 and good but any seller that has one of these four categories at below 4.3 stars result in eBay blocking their account - it would put us out of business.  We are concerned that buyers do not understand the star rating as the 1-5 rating and how their rating will affect great eBay sellers.
