Here are some tips to help collectors avoid buying material from forgers:  1) Be cautious of private feedback or private auctions (These people almost always have something to hide.)  2) Feedback means nothing (Honest and dishonest sellers can have high feedback ratings.  Most of the dishonest sellers get positive feedback from amature collectors who don't know how to spot forgeries.)  3) Professional auction page layout means nothing (Some of the largest, most established companies on ebay sell forgeries.)  4) Authenticity guarantees mean nothing unless the seller states a lifetime buyback on any items sold if they are found to be forgeries by reputable sources.  (Some of the forgery sellers challenge buyers to have their items checked for authenticity, yet they still knowingly sell fakes.)  5) Powerseller, squaredeal trader, and other ebay statuses do not have any bearing over whether a dealer is selling fake or authentic goods.  (Honest and dishonest dealers alike have those statuses.)  6) Finally, if the price seems to good to be true, it probably is.  (For example, no honest dealer is going to start a $10,000 artifact or coin at 99 cents with no reserve.)   I cannot boast the cheapest prices on ebay, but be aware that I am a professional who will never mislead my customers about the authenticity, description, or condition of my items.  If a grade is assigned to any of my coins, you can be sure that it is a conservative one.  I do not overgrade my material like many amature coin sellers on ebay.  My aspiration is to open a gallery or museum in this area.  Since I'm one of the few ancient historians in the area, I feel it is necessary to share the joys of analyzing and collecting ancient things with everyone out here.
