Do you enjoy restoring old cars and trucks, or do you like the satisfaction of mantaining the vehicle you drive every day? Well, we've got a lot in common.
I've been interested in all things mechanical from a young age. I was the kid in the nieghborhood that took everything apart, and usually, I got it all back together again, and it worked!
I was blessed with the best highschool auto tech teacher on the planet. He inspired me to learn all I could about small engines, car engines, and every system on a car. By graduation, my classmates and I passed the ASE certification exam. We knew engines, suspension, brakes, tune up and electrical, and many of us had built engines for our own cars.
My first car was a 1970 Mustang Mach1 with a 351C 4V and a toploader 4 speed transmission. I've had over a dozen mustangs since. I have built a number of small block fords for street strip duty, and helped a lot of friends do the same. I still have a '69 Mustang I'm building a 351W bored and stroked out to a 395 with pistons and rods from DSS engines in Chicago.
I also have a boat project underway. I'm replacing the entire floor and doing some stringer repair on a '86 supra ski boat, with a 351W Ford V8.
More recently, I've gotten interested in Ford Powerstroke performance, and have enjoyed doing some modifications to my '97 4x4 F250 truck. I've put together re-sealing kits for the fuel pressure regulator and the turbo oil system, I've sold many of these kits here on ebay. If you're interested in learning more about any Ford Diesel, check out dieselstop website, there's a link below.
I've also renovated a few houses... so, I named my LLC JCRestorations, since, if it's older, worn out, or broken, I generally enjoy restoring it, whatever it is! I have a shop in the suburbs of Detroit that I'm slowly filling with useful equipment to help me realize my dream of someday restoring older cars and building kit cars for customers in my early retirement....(if all goes as planned).
At this writing I've had over 150 positive feedbacks on ebay with 0 negative. I've also started to use USHIP to help my truck and car trailer pay for themselves. One of my shop tools is a forklift, so I can load and unload almost anything from a truck at my shop.
If you need a small block ford engine part, need something sandblasted, mig welded or powdercoated, need a carburetor rebuilt, or similar, drop me a line, I'll do my best to help you!
Thanks for visiting my about me page.
