Mini Aussie Rescue & Support (MARS) is a national rescue group for Miniature Australian Shepherd dogs, large and small. We rescue, foster, and adopt Mini Aussies in need across the United States. In our first 18 months we placed more than 100 dogs, including many special needs dogs.
MARS also offers support and counseling to Mini Aussie owners and education for all dog owners. Our BusterAlert.org program has become one of the central resources for information on the mdr1 genetic mutation in dogs.
MARS is an all-volunteer organization that relies on donations and fundraising to take in our rescue dogs. The MARS Fabulous Fall Auction, held annually using eBays GivingWorks program for non-profit charities, is one of our most important fundraisers.
