I'VE GOT THE ITCH TO STITCH!

CROSS STITCHING IS MY PASSION. I STARTED OUT BY MAKING BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR MY 3 GRANDSONS. I WAS HOOKED. I BOUGHT ALL THE GOODIES AND STOCKED UP ON PATTERNS, (NOW I MAKE MY OWN)! IT IS FUN, RELAXING AND SURE PASSES A LAZY SUNDAY AFTERNOON OR A NASTY RAINY DAY.

WHAT IS CROSS STITCH?
Cross-stitch is a popular form of counted-thread embroidery in which X-shaped stitches are used to form a picture. Cross-stitch is usually done on easily countable even weave fabric. The stitcher counts the threads in each direction so that the stitches are of uniform size and appearance. This form of cross-stitch is called counted cross-stitch in order to distinguish it from other forms of cross-stitch. Sometimes cross-stitch is done on designs printed on the fabric stamped cross-stitch; Where the stitcher simply stitches over the printed pattern.
It is super fun, SUPER addictive and doing a little stitching every evening while sitting & watching tv will soon produce a magnificent work of art to frame and hang on your wall.
I stitch almost every evening. It is Nice & Relaxing to set beside your Partner and stitch while He/She watches tv...;)
I had a lady ask for a Custom made Pattern to stitch of her beloved cat as a Memorial to him. She emailed me his pic from her cell phone, I made the pattern, emailed it back to her. She stitched it and had a custom frame made for it. It is STUNNING to say the least. So life like I wanted to pet him. She has since entered it into the New York State Fair in the Arts & Crafts section and won 1st place with it.(deserved Grand Champion!)from what i see in the photo)) I was so proud. She was proud, we both cried tears of joy! The photos show the pattern and the finished work on display.
