GOOSE BERRY MOUNTAIN PRIMITIVES Hello, my name is Mistye Ross. I live in Saltillo, Ms. I am married to my best friend Sean and have 5 children. A son that is 22, identical twin daughters who are 18,  a stepson that is 14, and my baby daughter that lives with Jesus in Heaven. I have been a primitive antique collector since I was 18. I can still remember the first thing that I bought. I was at a tag sale and found this small primitive basket that had flowers in it, and  an old fabric tie. When I got home and displayed it, I realized that I had found what I really loved and have never looked back. I only buy and sale things that I love and would enjoy in my own home. I love tag sales, estate sales, and auctions. My favorite weekend activity is to buy items for my store on Saturday, and list them on Sunday afternoons after church. It is a way of life for me.I look forward to each weekend. My mother has always said that I have an old soul.  My mother is correct. We live in a wonderful primitive antique filled home that has hardwood floors, a rustic old fireplace , and antique doors and hardware. My favorite room is our cabin room that Sean and I created from a 500 sq ft sun room. I have an old antique stove, an 1800's pie safe, an old metal bed, and lots of old primitive items.Some of the time, I display items that I sell in my home before I list them. That is why you may see me list several ideas or ways to display the items in my description. I move items constantly to create a new look. I love extreme primitive items. I love peeling paint, worn edges, and history if possible on items that I have in my home. I have an 1840 dining room table. I have often thought about families that may have sat around the table for holidays, and meal times. I wonder what they looked like and what they would have talked about. I am sure it was a much simpler time. I feel honored when I purchase something from someone's past. To me, its like stepping into a chapter of their life story. Someday, when all of the kids have finished their education, we are planning on moving to the Smokey Mountain area. We want to have our own primitive antique business and continue selling on Ebay. If God is willing, Sean and I can't think of anything more wonderful on this earth, than enjoying the beauty that God has given us in the Tennessee Hills area,and spend the rest of our lives together doing what we love. Happiness really is being married to your best friend but more so, a true relationship with God. I have had the wondereful experience of making true friends while enjoying buying and selling on Ebay.
