I didn't start out with the idea of opening an Ebay store to sell web site domain names, but that's where I ended up, and it's been fun! In fact, I've gone most of my life without a specific plan. But I've mostly ended up at good places. I started out by getting undergraduate degrees in Economics and English, then graduate degrees in Creative Writing and English Literature. I've made my living doing speechwriting and corporate communications for several large corporations, but creative writing has always been my first love, and over the years, I've published essays in the Sunday magazines of the Chicago Tribune, Baltimore Sun, Denver Post, Detroit Free Press and others. You can find some of my essays on my personal web site: www.michaelomary.com.
More recently, I've been working with a business partner on motivational and inspirational books, and while we were trying to come up with a name (and web site address) for our new venture, I found that I really enjoyed the process of thinking up creative web site names. One thing led to another, and I started an Ebay store called "Half Price URLs." My goal is to provide a good value at a fair price, so I try to come up with really good, creative names, and I have vowed to sell them at half of their appraised value (as appraised by GoDaddy) or less. It's a very fun hobby for me, and I hope my customers find the web site names to be of high quality and good value.
