My name is Mike Lee, and my business is Mike Lee Philatelics - stamp dealing (and collecting!) in other words!

My main collecting interests are Australia (of course!), although these days I tend to limit myself to only a few narrow fields such as KGV & Postage dues on cover etc, early USA and my main passion, which is Ireland. I collect just about anything philatelic connected to the Emerald Isle, but my main interest is in GB used in Ireland, and the early overprint issues.

I'm a member of several philatelic societies here in Melbourne, and also an APS Dealer member (# 198060)

If my name seems familiar, and you are a reader of Stamp News magazine, then it's probably because I wrote a series of articles about collecting Ireland which appeared in Australian Stamp News a couple of years back. I also wrote some articles on collecting early USA, and I'm hoping to get a few more done soon, work & family commiments permitting!

When it comes to stamp dealing, my stock started off tending to follow my collecting interests, but has now expanded to include a comprehensive range of Australia, Mint & Used, Ireland, early (mainly pre 1936) British Commonwealth, G.B., Germany & a lot of other stuff that comes my way from Germany to Papua New Guinea to French Southern & Antarctic Terrirtory! Most of my trading is done at the 4 regular monthly stamp fairs held around Melbourne each month, and eBay of course!

And what "about me"? Well, I live in Bayswater North, an outer eastern suburb of lovely Melbourne, the capital city of the state of Victoria, Australia. I have a lovely wife, Jane, who constantly puts up with my amazing ability to create a mess wherever I go, two gorgeous children, Tristan aged 8½ (nearly) & Rebecca, aged 5 years. What do I do apart from stamps? (not much it seems like!). I love working from home, which allows more family time, I still build(well, start anyway) the odd scale model, collect Toy Biz 6" Lord of the Rings figures (even buy & sell a few on eBay!), and I'm pretty heavily involved in our local church.
