Our BPD (Beautiful Precious Daughter)

Hi and welcome to Desirable Discoveries!

I've been asked to share a little about the people behind this business.

We both obviously enjoy antiques stores and estate sales. I have recently discovered live auctions. They can be fun!

My husband is the photographer and packer-shipper. He really enjoys when our feedback mentions how perfectly our items have been packed. He is also the one that draws those goofy pictures he includes with our thanks for each sale.

I have to say his talents with the newly acquired digital camera are wonderful. I especially love it when he gets into the detail of our items so well, you almost feel like you can touch it! Of course, our very modern daughter is always willing to explain how he could do it better, but we think for a couple of baby boomers, the pictures come out pretty darn good!

I guess that puts me into the role of organizer. I measure every item,upload the photos and try to accurately describe them as best I can. We don't do massive uploads. We try to give every item the individual attention it deserves.

What do we do when we are not working with our discoveries? My husband helps out with our church's eighth grade confirmation class while my biggest outside activity is school. I am finishing up my MBA (only 2 more classes!) Our son is also a student. He recently came home from the Navy and has started to use the GI bill to get a college education. We're just glad he is home.
