I am an artist/graphic designer...and like my quote above it is really just that simple to me ... I am, obsessed with drawing painting and contemplating the human form, to me we in ourselves are art in motion, my medium preferred is mainly paint and canvas but really just about any material you can be creative with...welding, rock sculpture, ceramic, sketching paintingetc Il use, I... HAVE TO create.
In 2002-2003 I was honored 3 times with awards on my work in fact, my first permanent installation piece was stolen before they could hang it.... I was mad and flattered at the same time ...for someone to walk off with a 2'x11' foot canvas they had to want it pretty bad....I hope that means I am doing something right lol.
I have always known that the answer to "When I grow up I want to be..." was ...an artist. From my first mural in my mother "For special occasions" bright red lipstick at 3, to now at 35 that is all I have ever wanted to be/do.

What moves me...
Music is a huge influence on my work, that and my mixed heritage. Billie Holiday to Led Zeppelin, Sam Cooke to Italian Opera, I love and collect music, and quotes by famous people almost obsessively, they make me think, and I think its possible I fear the day I stop "thinking" that I become numb to the world around me, I have felt numb, dead inside before/for to long, there is time enough too be dead when it is my time
A lot of my work reflects personal moments issues I am working through, people I know, who are in my life or who have passed through and left a mark on my soulombine those moments with a quote, a stanza of a poem, a few cords of music and I start to eethe images I paint/create. It is not necessary that I become/gain in modern social fame or monetary gain would love the idea of historical remembrance, to know that I some how left my mark on other peoples souls.
