About Us
We're part-time Ebay hobbyists, committed to bringing you quality new & used items. We take pride in our 100% positive feedback, making every attempt to accurately describe condition, origin, and terms of sale for our auctions. In buying from us, you are guaranteed professional, friendly service and an attempt to make sure you are satisfied with your experience. We especially love our repeat customers, and are happy to offer combined shipping based on the total weight of all items.
Our Items
We love to shop and hold quality above all else, but we're also strictly anti-clutter. If it hasn't been used in a while then it just has to go!
We're certainly not limited to any one category or genre, though we love selling antique or collectible 1st editions of classics as well as unique vintage cookbooks. In addition, you will find listings for glassware (especially Depression Era milk glass items), antique or vintage silver or pewter, kitchen and cooking items particularly from the Eames, Art Deco, or Art Nouveau eras, signed & framed original works by various artists (especially one-of-a-kind paintings and photographs), collectible barware, gently used name brand/designer clothes, or anything else that just needs a new home.
Payment Policy
Paypal only, please (money orders are no longer allowed as per Ebay's new policies). Please send payment within 5 days of auction end, or contact us with any problems. Non-paying bidders will be reported without hesitation after 7 days if we are not contacted.
Shipping Information
Shipping rates have unfortunately gone up again, but we continue to use the Calculated Shipping option to mail your items in the most economical way available. We ship at least every other day and use recycled materials as much as possible in order to keep shipping costs down for you and us; plus it's just the right thing to do. US customers will receive Paypal tracking information once the shipping label has been created. We are also happy to arrange local pick-up from Syracuse, or possibly Rochester. We may ask that payment be made in advance to avoid no-shows. All of our items come from a clean, smoke-free, and (thanks to your purchases) clutter-free home.
Return Policy
Please contact us within 3 days of receipt of item to discuss returns. Returns will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Bidders who do not pay within 1 week of the auction end date do not qualify for a return under any circumstances.
Feedback
We leave positive feedback as soon as confirmed payment is received, and ask that you return the favor if you are happy with your purchase. Ebay's new Detailed Seller Ratings (DSRs) allow you to also leave anywhere from 1 to 5 stars describing more about your experience - in order for Ebay Sellers to receive basic seller benefits (and to stay competitive with the big guys!), they must keep their average DSRs above a certain level of about 4.8 (!) stars for each category. Please choose your ratings carefully for all sellers, as one low rating really can have a negative effect on our businesses.
A Note About Bidding Strategy
Here's something to think about: the best way to win an auction might not involve being the last bidder at the last minute. Placing a bid early is sometimes to your advantage - you may dissuade other potential buyers from bidding at all (they will look for auctions where they don't have to compete with anyone), plus other bidders will have to beat your maximum bid in order to become the new high bidder. Either way, an early bid may give you the upper hand on your competition.
Sellers also have the option to "tweak" auctions until the first bid is placed - changing key words or categories to attract more buyers, adding a Buy It Now price in the middle of the auction (which could mean that you miss the end of the auction completely), or adding more keywords to the description. All of this means that there may actually be more competition for you on the last day/hour/minute of the auction if you wait.
We have received emails in the past from potential buyers, asking if the item they wanted was still available - they placed the item on their "Watch" list, then just forgot about it until the auction was over. In almost every case though, once it's gone it's gone for good. Bid smart!
