I'm Doreen and I'm the mom to a 14 year old son with moderate autism. Since his diagnosis I have been reading about and researching autism. Initially I purchased most of my books new. I began selling books on ebay from my own collection then realized that there is a need for parents to find affordable books on all topics related to Special Needs and Adoption, so I search out books used and auction them for far less than retail.
Most of my son's education has occured at home and there again I purchased material new, but now I look for approriate educational materials used and pass the savings onto families.
I have found knitting scarves and mosaics a diversion as well as a enjoyable way to relieve stress, so take a few minutes and look at my designs you may find a great gift idea!
