HOW DO I GRADE MY BOOKS? AS NEW is when the book is in the same immaculate condition in which it was published. There are no defects, no missing pages, no library stamps, etc., and the dust jacket (if it was issued with one) is perfect.
FINE approaches the condition of AS NEW, but without being crisp. The binding is tight, pages are clean and wrinkle free, no spine creasing, dust jacket appears in new condition - any small amounts of wear are noted.
VERY GOOD describes a book that does show some small signs of wear; very light edgewear, little or no extra writing, etc. Any defects are noted.
GOOD describes the average used book that has all pages present; possible edge/spine wear, minor tears, etc. Any defects are noted.
FAIR is a worn book that has complete text pages but may lack endpapers, etc. Binding, jacket (if any) may also be worn, but in readable condiiton.
Ex-library copies are ALWAYS noted as such no matter what the condition of the book.
Book Club Editions are ALWAYS noted as such no matter what the condition of the book.
I do try to describe the books as thorough as possible, but I am not an expert - so please email me with your questions BEFORE you place a bid. Thanks for taking the time to come visit me. Have a great day and ... HAPPY EBAYING! |
