About DREAMCATCHER BLANKETS TM

DreamCatcher Blankets was founded by owner, Eileen Jackson. Her  autistic son was not  able to sleep without waking every few hours. "We tried all types of "therapies" to help him sleep, short of using drugs. Since  he started using a weighted blanket for sleep, his night time sleep goes most nights without waking  during the night. It was not only his therapy, but was also ours. The weighted blankets I found in the special needs catalogs were extremely expensive, impractical and uncomfortable. Other blankets I found and purchased on the internet were  filled with unsafe or unsanitary weighting materials.  I set out to make a weighted blanket for my son, he was my inspiration ( as he always is) to create several designs until landing on what is now our unique DreamCatcher Blanket TM exclusive patent pending design. Which is effective, practical, comfortable and most importantly SAFE." Eileen

We had a number of local requests for the blankets and made a few to list on Ebay. Weighted  blankets work best if they are custom tailored for each users height and weight, that is why,  most blankets listed on Ebay are custom made to order .
