I am a mixed media artist from the mountains of Washington state. My partner and I live in a log cabin on ten acres with my dogs Charlie, Rowdy and my twenty-one year old cat Buster. I have a food and herb garden and supplement my self-sufficient lifestyle with my art and writing.

I love country auctions and yard sales. I often use my found treasures in my assemblages and collages and also offer some of the treasures for sale on ebay for some extra cash to fix the roof or get some more fencing for my garden( the deer up here are voracious!!).

Art Quilt

Exploring various art techniques and not being afraid to use almost anything or explore any subject helps keeps my art fresh. I relish the idea of reusing a discarded piece of material that at one time held a important use...that cog that keep the wheels turning or that bolt that keep it all together, now thrown aside and forgotten. A piece of paper with handwriting makes me wonder about the writer and I often create a collage or assemblage around that odd piece of lost or discarded scrap.
