A Little About Us
Prime Electronic Components was founded in 1990 to work with various Asset Recovery and E-Scrap Recyclers to remarket surplus and used equipment to the consumer. Over the years we have partnered with some of the largest recyclers, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and Electronic Contract Manufacturers (ECM). We take their surplus inventory, used computer equipment, used telecommunications equipment, surplus consumables and surplus electronic components that would normally get scrapped or sent to a landfill and re-market the items to smaller manufacturers and consumers.
Our goal is to try and keep as much of the used equipment, surplus inventory and overstock coming out of the electronics industry out of the landfills. We do this by looking at everything that comes into our facility as the sum of its parts. When we research an item we not only look at what it is but also what it can be used for. If an item is not marketable as a whole or contains proprietary technology that cannot be resold we will deconstruct the item and market the parts. By doing this we are able to give our partners a higher ROI than other inventory remarketers but we are also able to offer our customers parts and items that are not normally available to small businesses and consumers.
We do this by trying to adhere to the 3 golden rules of recycling: - REDUCE - By selling OEM parts we are able to reduce the demand for retail parts; therefore reducing the energy need to manufacture retail parts..
- REUSE - By purchasing used computers, electronics and telecom equipment; you are helping reduce the amount of energy needed to manufacture new equipment and helping reduce the amount of pollution generated by manufacturers.
- RECYCLE - We not only help support recyclers by making parts available to help refurbish older equipment that would normally get sent to a landfill. We also support recycling by using as much recycled equipment in offices as possible.
We pride ourselves on the level of service we offer our customers and partners. We personally test, inspect, and repackage if necessary all items that we sell. We also personally guarantee the functionality of all items we sell. We strive to offer our customers the highest level of satisfaction possible. Payment Policy
- Payment is due within 7 Days of Auction closing or we will relist the item and file an Unpaid Item Dispute.
- For our orders we accept Pay Pal, Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and Discover.
Return Policy
- If you feel your item is defective please contact us via email for approval and instructions before shipping the item back.
- We normally do not accept returns for compatibility issues; so please verify compatibility before purchasing. If you accidentlay purchase an incompatible item please contact us for approval before returning.
- All returns are tested and processed within 1 week of receiving the item. Upon testing your return and verifying it is defective we will either ship you a replacement or issue a refund based on availability of comparable replacement.
- If you ship back an item without requesting approval or receiving instructions; the package will be returned. If you fail to follow the instructions sent to you it will delay processing of the return.
Any returns due to compatibility issues or for non-defective items are subject to a 10% to 25% restocking fee dependant on the item. The buyer will be responsible for paying the return freight and we will not issue a refund for the original freight.
Return Policy
- All Domestic orders are shipped the following business day of payment clearing.
- All International orders are shipped within 2 business days of payment clearing.
- All Domestic Orders (Contiguous U.S. Lower 48 states) are shipped via UPS Ground, 3 Day, 2nd Day, or Overnight depending on what the buyer chooses
- All International Orders, Hawaiian, and Alaskan orders are shipped via either USPS or UPS based on what the buyer chooses and the size of the package. Larger Packages can only be shipped via FedEx
- If you require your order to be shipped out the same day the order is placed the order needs to be placed and you need to call and speak to one of our customer service reps before Noon EST.
- We will email your tracking number after we have processed your order for shipment. This is usually several hours before the respective carrier will pickup the item. So please wait at least 1 day after receiveing the tracking information before you try to track your package.
- If you do not receive your tracking information please be sure to check your SPAM filters before calling us about the tracking information.
- When submitting your shipping address please be careful and double check the address. If you email us after you have paid for the item we are not always able to correct an address before an item ships. Our shipping department processes orders before our customer service department checks emails.
