I am a small private dealer who sells on Ebay part-time. My full time job is a mother to my two children. I clean and check all my own Ebay items, take my own listing photos and do all my own descriptions. A little secret.....I'm a one fingered typist! I take as many photos as I can so cosmetically you know exactly what to expect. I deal mainly in used camera equipment so alot of my time goes into checking every little detail. It's so hard to deal in used camera equipment because there is so much that can be faulty. Did you know that approx 50% of camera equipment sold on Ebay is unknowingly sold faulty? I have been a buyer on ebay for 7 years and have seen what other sellers describe as mint or fully working AND ITS SCAREY! Most private sellers have no idea how to check what they have - even if its their own equipment. Half the camera equipment I buy to resell is faulty and ends up being sent back to the seller for a refund. With that said the most important thing I can tell you about buying on Ebay is make sure that the seller you are buying from has excellent feedback and takes returns. Lucky I have 25 years experience dealing in photographic equipment having personally owned and run three Used Camera Stores so there's not alot that gets past me. However with that said my full time job is a devoted mother to my 2 young children. I dont usually have the time to e-mail every buyer with a tracking number as I would rather put my limited time into getting the items shipped out. Its impossible for me to ship everyday so I try to ship every 2-4 business days. This excludes weekends. If you need a tracking number just e-mail me and I'll get back to you usually within 24 hours. You need to keep in mind that if your item is being shipped UPS Ground (check your listings method of shipping) it can take up to 5 business days (depending on your location) which can mean a total of up to 10 days for you to receive it. Please be patient and dont resort to leaving a hasty neutral or negative feedback without e-mailing me first to find out the expected date of arrival. International shipping is done once a week. I know everyone wants their items shipped out the same day if not sooner but it just isn't going to happen with me. I have a medical condition that wont allow it - I think my doctor described it as STRESS OVERLOAD (LOL!). Feedback is extremely important to me and I want all my buyers to be happy with their purchase. If for some reason I have overlooked something or there is a problem PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE contact me. I have 3 easy steps to follow if this should arise. Firstly you need to take 2 deep breaths (it's not the end of the world), calm yourself down (you know it's not good for your blood pressure) and simply e-mail me (I need to hear from you) so I can resolve it. I'm not afraid of returns if it's faulty or you feel it's not as described. I have learnt that it's just part of being in business and I am definately not about to steal your money if I have made a honest overlook. There is nothing worse for a seller to receive a neutral or negative feedback without getting any communication from a buyer and having no chance to correct it. Yes listen up all you new Ebayers because this especially applies to you that dont know how the feedback system works. You only leave a neutral or negative feedback as a absolute last resort. The first resort is a simple e-mail to the seller to explain a concern or problem. I am a honest seller and am very easy to work with but communication is the key.
