Proudly an eBay member since Saturday, Oct 03, 1998
I began my sports card company in 1987, at 13, selling through mail order advertisements and card shows as Gillet Enterprises. In 1991 my company became a member of the prestigious dealer only computer network Sports Net (station CF234). In 1992, at 18, I finally took the plunge and opend up my first retail store and changed my company's name to MVP Sports Cards & Collectibles. Within 2 years my company had grown to 3 mall retail stores in Bakersfield, CA, a wholesale segment, and a mail order business. My company became a PSA Authorized Dealer in 1991.
Although, during this time I had continued my education and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administriation with a concentration in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Economics in August of 1998 from California State University, Bakersfield. Thus, in 1998 I closed my retail stores to fulfill my life-long dream to attend law school. My mail order and wholesale segments have continued to operate. I still actively trade at card shows, on Sports Net and various Internet auctions. In August of 2000, I completed my Juris Doctor (law) degree from California Western School of Law, and in December of 2000, I completed my Master of Science in Accountancy, Taxation at San Diego State University. I currently operate my own law practice emphasizing bankruptcy, business, probate and taxation law. I am currently an adjunct professor of law and accounting at California State University, Bakersfield.
