I mainly list vintage and modern designer clothing items, but at times there may also be art related antique/vintage collectibles as well. My Frock Shop.com is strictly an online vintage clothing boutique located in Houston, Texas USA. Finding vintage clothing, accessories, and other antique/vintage collectibles is my favorite hobby. I travel all around town to private sales & auctions (even on vacation/holiday) seeking out hard to find items. Some call it an obsession, but I have so much fun!! UPDATE April 15, 2009: I am slow at getting new items up for sale with Hurricane Ike repairs about to begin inside my home. I opted to request a couple guys that have worked on a neighbor's home and don't mind the wait knowing they are skilled and experienced workers. At least I got a new roof out of it! In addition, fortunately, my vintage room (turned closet) did not receive any damage! New listings will be slow during these next couple of months, but please check back often and add me to your "emailed favorite sellers new items" function. I still have to pay the bills, argh... There is also an art lover in me. I have been a member of the
Museum of Fine Arts Houston (MFAH) for three years now and began my private art collection
about four years ago. It all began with a late 19th century painting by German artist
Rudolf Epp (photo on the right). In addition, I have accumulated numerous other
antique/vintage items including more paintings, furniture, art frames, books, jewelry,
etc... (definitely too many to list - now I need a larger home!). Taking Art History
classes is another favorite pastime of mine and I highly recommend the MFAH University
classes as well as adjacent Rice University, wonderful instructors.|
