Thank you for visiting my about me page.  I would like to take a moment to tell you a bit about me so you may feel a little more comfortable bidding on my items.  I started palying guitar in 1975 and played in various garage and bar bands until about 1984(no, noone you've ever heard of).  In 1984 I moved to south Florida where I began scanning the flea markets, pawn shops and classifieds, buying, selling and repairing guitars.  I returned to New York in 1988 and began doing repairs for local music stores while back in school or on the side.  In 1996, with my partner I opened Toys from the Attic in White Plains, NY, selling Vintage, Collectable and Pre-Owned guitars and accessories.  After 9 successful years, my partner and I parted ways and in July, 2004 I started My Generation Guitars(formerly Straight Shooter Guitars).

    I have been on the Board of Advisors of the Orion Blue Book of Musical Instruments and I was a contributor to the Vintage Guitar Price Guide for seven years.  Take comfort in knowing that I have quite a bit of experience with guitars.  I'm still learning evey day and I don't claim to know everything.  As a matter of fact, the extensive knowledge of the e-bay community surprises me everyday.  I will say that I stand behind what I sell and will take back any item that is misrepresented unless otherwise stated clearly in the auction.

Policies:

We offer a 48 hour approval period on all items unless otherwise stated in the auction.  All refunds are less a 6% re-stocking fee and all shipping charges are the responsability of the buyer.

We accept Paypal, Bank Wires, Money Orders(US Postal or othe US Based Money Orders, No Canadian Money Orders) and Personal Checks(items held for 10 business days to insure that the check is cleared).  Bank Wires are to be net of any bank fees.   

Shipping is always listed as a flat rate in all of our auctions for domestic bidders.  International bidders are required to e-mail a complete shipping address including postal code for a shipping rate quote prior to bidding.  We will ship internationally via US Postal Service upon request but we recommend against it as all loss or damage claims can take 6-12 months for reconcilliation.  Refunds on loss or damage claims are paid only upon settlement by the shipper.
