About the art: My art is about your relationship with mythology. The art is done in a variety of medium. However, I have a special enjoyment of printmaking. Most loose print work is packaged in acid free bags and shipped in a tube. Most flat art is framed and ready to hang right out of the box. I only use acid free mattes, backing, and tape. I choose high-quality plexiglass glazing with UV protection. And always choose each elegant wooden frame and matte specifically to accent your art.
About me: My name is Dave Alber, M.A. I was born in Pennsylvania in 1969. I grew up in Florida, then working as a graphic designer and illustrator, moved to Georgia in 1990. Studying under the children book Illustrator Debrah Santini at the State University of West Georgia, I earned my Bachelors of Fine Art concentrating in Printmaking. Invited to Italy to work with the United Services Organization, I art-directed and coordinated an international festival. In 2001, I earned my Masters in Mythological Studies at Pacifica Graduate Institute. Encouraged by the faculty there, I contributed to Mythology: A CD-ROM Encyclopedia, Vol. 1, Greek & Roman. Founding Mythic Eye Press, I recently published Myth & Medium and To the Dawn. I have finished two novels and am working on a non-fiction book about cultural mythology. My fine art has been exhibited in Naples (Italy), Georgia, and California. I have ongoing blogs and video podcasts at www.mythandmedium.com.
