JUST ONE MORE NOTE AND ITS MORE VENTING THAN ANYTHING ELSE.  AS OF OCT 21ST. I HAVE 30 DAY RATING OF 4.64 ON MY SHIPPING & HANDLING CHARGES. I EITHER SHIP FREE OR AT ACTUAL COST. IF CLOSE GUESTIMATION AND EBAYS SHIPPING CALCULATOR IS OFF, I SENT BACK ANYTHING OVER .25 CENTS... I DO NOT CHARGE A HANDLING FEE. IVE HAD TWO INSTANCES WHERE IT WAS 10 CENTS OVER.  I AM NOT DIRECTLY QUOTING A PACKAGED PARCEL WHEN I LIST. NOT EVERYTHING SELLS. I WISH SOMEONE WOULD SEND ME BACK MONEY WHEN THEY OVER CHARGE ME ON A PURCHASE OR THE POSTAL STAMP WOULD READ WHAT I PAID. JUST ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF THE INADEQUACIES OF THIS RATING SYSTEM.  REMEMBER SELLERS PAY MANDATORY PAYPAL TO ACCEPT YOUR PAYMENT AND THEY PAY A PERCENTAGE ON YOUR SHIPPING FEES AS WELL. SO IF I CHARGE YOU THE ACTUAL PRICE, I AM STILL PAYING SOME OUT OF POCKET.  I THINK ITS HILARIOUS THAT THAT RATING COULD BE SO LOW... CONSIDERING, ITS EITHER EXACT OR FREE. AND I DONT BUILD SHIPPING COSTS INTO ITEMS WHEN I OFFER THEM FREE EITHER.

I was raised by two older parents in the late 60's. Being so much older than me, through them, I got a chance to taste what came before me. To appreciate things that had come from a different time. My parents called the refridgerator, the Ice box and some people in our building still had the iceman coming. He'd carry his big blocks of ice up the stairs, with big tongs on his back. This was particularily appealing and of interest in the summertime. We had the milk man deliver milk to our milkbox on the third floor... My Mom, Dad and Grandparents introduced me to quite a lot that I had missed of the earlier decades of the 1900's, by virtue of my not having been born yet. I developed a passion and an affinity for older things. Things that were made to last and made with quality. I like holding them, feeling them, wondering the history behind them and who held them and enjoyed them, like me, its a passion.

I have tried to share some of these things with my fellow ebayers. I have had the pleasure of selling sheet music to a man who purchased it for his mother. You see, his father had written the music and she didnt have a copy of this particular song. Ive sold a huge flag to a judge who proudly sent me pictures of it flying after 911. I sold an antique metal slide on finger tip to a woman who was so happy to buy it, she could now have 10 fingernails to polish. She lost one of hers in an accident. I sold a beautiful ruby glass lamp to a lady who lives in the french quarter in New Orleans, I wish her and the lamp well. Ive sold original antique bottles of product back to companies still in business that they no longer had. Ive sold furniture that is in a museum and things that are referenced in published books. I sold treasures and memories to people who have been enriched by them. Occasional and lately, treasure hunting has not been easy.

I am selling what I can find and ship easily. Some things are clothing that my daughters, other family members or I have bought and never worn, some items are things that I have held on to for too long and need to share. Some are family estate items or donations from my mother in law. I have many collections that I am selling off slowly. I have realised that I cannot keep everything and the need for additional income makes it necessary. Please be aware that all these things, share the same storage space. So it might be that a new dress will take on the smell of older things that came from a smokers home.

IF YOU ARE SENSITIVE TO SMOKE AND ARE NOT GOING TO LAUNDER THE ITEM BEFORE YOU WEAR IT, (THIS IS HIGHLY SUGGESTED IN ANY CASE, EVEN IF YOU BUY FROM A STORE, JUST THINK ABOUT IT) THEN PLEASE DONT PURCHASE FROM ME. In this uncertain time, unable to find a job because I took time off to raise my child, and lost my work history. Its been purged, I find it necessary to sell here on ebay to supplement my families income.

I have a flair for finding what I need.  I try to keep my prices fair, my shipping exact and to provide an accurate description of each item. I am not an expert. Please communicate with me before you leave bad feedback, this is my bread and butter. I will always try to make it right, when I can. Please be aware that older things are not perfect, unless stated. These are treasures in their own right regardless of minor imperfections that speak to their longevity.

Terms of my auction - Please read! IF YOU ARE SENSITIVE TO TOBACCO SMELL PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THERE MAY BE SOME DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND MY CONTROL.

1. I usually ship next buisness day. 
2. Regardless, I will ship your item within 2 Business days of the cleared payment. If you are paying by echeck, it could take up to 6 days stateside and 12 days or more international, for it to just clear. Please do not hold this against me.
3. It is grossly cost ineffective, gas wise,  for me to go to the post office to ship one thing, day after day, as much as I would like to get your item to the post office the day after you pay. I will not let your item sit for more than 2 business days.
4. I offer First Class and Priority Mail, this is to save you time &  money. If you would like Parcel Post, email me and I will quote you. Bear in mind that Parcel Post takes 2-9 days depending on where in the country you live. I live in Florida. Once the item leaves my hands and it is within the two business days, part of the terms, that you agreed to when you bid, it is up to the post office to deliver.  I am not slow or late. I have shipped when I said I would and should be considered a quick shipper.  I value my feedback/star rating and it pains me to have it affected because USPS shipping times were misunderstood.
5. I use ebays shipping calculator. It is not perfect.  -  It becomes necessary to clarify this point. I weight the item on a fairly accurate scale, add a bit for packing materials (I cannot prepack any item, I am not sure it will sell) and punch that info into ebays calculator.   Ebays shipping program sets the price, not me, based on where you live. Often parcel post is the most economical, however time consuming (another risk, we all want it cheaper but still as fast) and yet the program is not accurate. I try not to ship in paper.   Please communicate. I encourage it. Help me give you good service. REMEMBER, YOU WILL GET ANYTHING OVER BACK VIA PAYPAL.
6. If you have a problem, wont you please communicate it to me before you leave feedback/star rating.   IF YOU FEEL YOU MUST LEAVE LESS THAN FIVE STARS, WONT YOU PLEASE BRING IT TO MY ATTENTION, I WILL DO AS MUCH AS I CAN OR AT LEAST LEARN SOMETHING I CAN DO BETTER IN THE FUTURE. PLEASE BE ENCOURAGED TO SAY WHAT IS WRONG AND ALLOW FOR CONSIDERATION TO MAKE IT RIGHT. WE CANT LEAVE NEUTRALS OR NEGATIVES, THERE IS NO RISK TO SPEAKING YOUR MIND.
7. While I do not take returns and all sales are final, if there is something which is grossly misstated, I will work with you to make you happy.
8. If you are new to ebay and have any questions, I would be more than glad to clarify anything that I can to help you.
9. I will send an Invoice upon auctions end, if that one does not say which day it will ship, my next one will. I will also email you when the item actually ships to confirm and mark it shipped on the auction. I am still getting people lowering my stars for communication. Often from people who dont communicate other than, to at some unknown time, send payment. If you felt that I did not communicate well enough, please email me to tell me. You will be helping me and I would greatly appreciate it.
10. I do ebay in the old way. I am a regular person. I am not a store.  I dont have checkouts. I am sometimes creative in my shipping materials.  I do answer emails and questions very quickly. I try to accomodate.
11. I have met loads of wonderful people, some who remain friends to this day, doing ebay the old way. Unfortunately, such as it is I wont be able to share a little banter with you for the most part. Its unfortunate. I hope that I can bring you FIVE STAR service.
