Welcome to all of my new friends... Hello, I started on E-Bay back on Saturday, Mar 16, 2002 because of my interest in Amateur Radio. N3TBC is my callsign. I have been a ham for over 31 years and enjoyed the hobby immensely. I do have a problem though - so my wife tells me – too many hobbies. Mineralogy, Astronomy, Computers, Knife Collecting, Mage Knight and painting Mage Knight figures, Fishing, camping, Huston Texans Football – just to name a few. Who am I... I am currently a Law Enforcement Officer (State Employee - Under Paid and Over Worked) and have been one for over ten years. I presently work midnight to eight in the morning so I keep strange hours. Prior to that I managed three different camera stores for one chain for a period of ten years (until I realized that there was no retirement and so no reason to stay). Before that I was in the Air Force stationed in Cheyenne, WY. I loved it out there and miss it a great deal. Right now I also work for my Departments Union and still find time to play Mage Knight with my two sons on Friday night at a game/book store. To help reduce the costs... To help reduce the costs of my many interests (because I am a State Employee - I am over worked and under paid) I have decided to get into the auctions. I hope to start selling some of my items in the future, but for now I want to reduce the purchase cost by buying on-line. My Better Half... My Wife and I have been married for over 20 years now (Dec 9, 1987) – the best years of my life. My XYL (Amateur Radio jargon for the better half AKA spouse) works in the banking industry and is my money adviser. She is my guiding light and a sweet heart and I could never imagine my life without her. I suppose that when people talk about soul mates – you would have to say she would be mine. She has now become the main E-Bayer in the family. She is also taking the requests from the kids and placing the bids for them because they do not have access to our account. We both enjoy auctions and as I said earlier, we would like to get into selling (someday). |
