Why? For 15 years, I lived life without a real camera. It only in the last few years that I felt I had something to share, and a creative vision worth pursuing. For most of my adult life, I lived, worked, pursued a career, started a family, exulted in personal triumphs, and endured defeats. When I was young, the world was black or white. It only thru life experiences have I come to realize that the world is filled with infinite shades of grey. Within the shades of grey lie beauty and art, waiting to be seen. When I see the light fall across the female form, I want others to see that the beauty is in the shape; the play of light, and the way the model expresses herself. When I see a look, an expression - eyes that melt my soul, it needs to be shared. My endeavors are nothing more or less then collaborations with the model. The model is a partner in the creative process. I have the greatest respect for the models I have been fortunate enough to work with. Fully clothed, barely covered, or completely nude, they possess self-confidence, a belief in self and a desire that I can only begin to imagine from my side of the camera. Respect, admiration and gratitude summarize what their participation means to me. Sometimes, a split second before I fire the shutter, I am fortunate enough to see the beauty of the moment that once past is no more. It for this moment I keep looking thru the camera, hoping to capture just a glimpse of that which moves me. "The camera can represent flesh so superbly that, if I dared, I would never photograph a figure without asking that figure to take its clothes off."
