 More About Me:
I would like to tell you what has led me to this part in my life: I was 29 years old with two small children when the first symptoms of fibromyalgia began to ravage my body. The disease has no cure, but I began my own campaign to find the right doctors and right combination of medicines, vitamins, and diet to cope with this debilitating muscle disorder. But I didn’t get to where I am overnight, nor did I accomplish everything I have without the help of others.
It was while battling fibromyalgia that I began to use and develop my God given talents. I found my real creative skill and future lay in creating uniquely lovely wreaths and other florals. Eventually I took a big leap and bought an upscale silk florist in my hometown. I worked hard and loved it. I had enough employees to take over my workload when my health took downward turns.
After almost 20 years of ups and downs and several downsizings of my business, my body just couldn’t do it anymore. I had to close my business. Roadblocks were at every turn. My muscles got so bad that for about three years I could not stand at my counter to make even one wreath.
In March of 2005, I was renting a small space in a consignment store, which parceled out more stress than sales. It was then, along with the urging of my Chiropractor, that I started thinking about Ebay. I felt, with the uncertainties of my health, that this was the perfect business in which I could continue my work with florals. Ebay certainly proved me right.
When we built our new home in 2003, we had added a studio with lots of storage and work counters. It was used only as storage for a while until I got up the energy to tackle eBay. It was there in my studio that I embarked upon my new venture – selling wreaths on Ebay. I really didn’t know where to start, how to package my product - wreaths or even how to sell them, but I had a very identifiable icon: "ladybugs". There’s one on every creation we send out.
For a month, I read and studied, set up an Ebay account, then a PayPal account, and then read some more! The first e-book I ever purchased was entitled “The Silent Sales Machine Hiding on Ebay”, by Jim Cockrum. Reading, I felt drawn to this good Christian man, his ideas, and his strategies. This was the direction I was being led to go in and his book is the ABSOLUTE BEST I have ever read! I cannot begin to tell you how many times I have read it, referred back to it, along with the next two he has written.
I am now moving forward in my career. My business and my spirits are soaring! I am a powerseller on eBay, have two employees, and in the last year, have released three Instructional Wreath Design Books. A fourth one will be released very shortly. We have a wreath making video already out, and my Ribbons & Bows Video, which had turned out absolutely wonderful, will be released immediately, along with several other how-to videos.
