I have always been a "crafty" person. I can remember my Nana teaching me to thread a needle when I was about four and I just never stopped. I have tried it all, sewing, embroidery, knitting, crochet, flower arranging, painting, and scrapbooking, just to name a few. Unfortunately, nothing held my attention for more than a few years until I discovered jewelry.
I just fell into jewelry design and construction completely by accident. I have my sister, Julie, to thank for that. I made something for me, she saw it and wanted me to make her something too. Well, I had such a good time I couldn't stop. Oh boy, was I hooked. I just love every aspect of it and have even started to lampwork to make my designs even more unique.
Lampwork is the creation of glass beads using a torch and glass rods. The possibilities are endless and there is always something new to learn and discover. I hope someday to retire from my "day" job and do this full time. But, until then I am a legal secretary for the best attorney ever, married to a wonderful guy, Kevin, and have lots of little fur-babies to take care of. Although we have no children of our own, Kevin and I have 7 nieces and nephews that we are close to and see frequently. Our lives are full.
