R.A.G.TIME ANTIQUES "where the unusual is commonplace" From the 1930s till now THE BRAVERMANS have been avid collectors and dealers in Fine Antiques and the Rare and Unusual. The Family comes from a long line of Pawnbrokers in New York and starting in the 1960s First opened an Art Gallery, Braverman Galleries SPORT in ART on Madison Ave next door to Hirschl & Adler on East 67th Street. We have owned 4 different Antique Stores in New York and New Jersey R.A.G.time Antiques and One Large Manhattan Antique Center in Manhattan, City East Antique Center on East 31st Street, this in addition to our Art Galleries. Mother Renee was a well known Interior Decorator who brought that special touch of Class to the other Business My Dad and I were involved in..The Sport of Professional Boxing.My late Father Big Al Braverman being an extremely well known Promoter Manager Trainer Cut Man and the tough guy who started out and ran Don King Productions for 27 years as Kings Boxing Director. We all have our Special Loves in the Antique World and my Mother Renee, Father Al, Sister Cory, Wife Nancy and myself Gary Braverman  are no different. We continue to pick every day possible at shops and Auctions and Estate Sales with a special eye towards High End Antiques from Art Nouveau & Art Deco Treasures to Fine Paintings,Jewelry, Bronzes,Folk Art, Period Lighting, Antique Advertising, Art Glass, Art Pottery and the Unusual in Architectural Marble and Iron. Our immediate Family have been in Business over 40 Years and are well known in the Industry and were also certified Appraisers with the AAA and ISA. Although we love the Business we usually don't fall in Love with the Antiques.
