Well, I've been saying this for a long time. I need to clear some space in this place so as I can move about a bit. I'm becoming engulfed by old records, books and all manner of assorted frippery and bobbins and a good deal of it is going to have to go. Being a musician with a Rock band called Blue Fuses means I have a lot of musical instruments hanging around here and a damn sight more in the way of vinyl records, some of which I've had for years and never even played, strange as it may seem. Well, I'm out of the band now as it all got a bit nasty towards the end. Oh, and I still have that Cathedral t-shirt by the way. I have just been a ravenous collector of different kinds of musics over the years and my collection is starting to rival that of the Great Man John Peel. It used to be inconcievable that a broadcaster could play records of African High Life Music after a gentle tune by some waifish Folk chanteuse only to follow that up with something really Hardcore like Napalm Death or Carcass, but God bless the man, he did it. Come and have a look at what's cluttering the place up here. Feel free to send me emails asking if I have a copy of something you've been searching for over the years; you never know, it could be lurking in the cupboard at the top of the stairs just waiting to be lovingly draped across your turntable. Suits YOU Sir!

Me in Blue Fuses: Jimi Who?
|
Are you with me, honest people? My home is starting to resemble a very untidy record shop and public library. It's starting to drive me nuts, let alone my Father who's 83 now and deserves a tidier place to live than he currently has. Records and Music have formed a huge part of my life and the stuff I like to listen to and collect comes under the genres of Krautrock (German stuff from the late 60s and early 70s by people like Tangerine Dream, Can, Faust, Ash Ra Tempel, Neu!, Guru Guru, Kraftwerk and Amon Duul 2 etc.), New Wave of British Heavy Metal (I was a part of this in bands like Static and White Lightning), Blues, Reggae, Folk... the list's probably endless when you get down to it. I've got an appetite for damn near anything. The main item here is that I want to get this house cleaned up and remove the clutter so we can both feel good about the place again. It would be well good if I could sell enough stuff to be able to afford to get the roof fixed here, because let's face it, it's knackered and it needs doing. STOP PRESS! Dad got conned out of £21,000 by "roofers" who did nothing but put up scaffolding and demand money. They did no work and just took an old man's life savings, so now we're having a new roof put on by decent people at last. If the other people get caught I hope they're put away for a very long time. Or killed. Go and take a look at me on Facebook (Noel John Gilbert Jones) or MySpace (baldydrawnboy). Please bid freely!
