The Network of Disclosure is a group of comic book collectors and dealers who have pledged to disclose any form of restoration or enhancement known to exist on a comic book, either in their possession or placed by them for sale. Our objective is to create a safer and more open environment for buying and selling comic books by publicly sharing information with our fellow collectors and prospective customers. In doing so, we seek to foster a greater level of confidence and sense of security within the comic book marketplace.

Our Principles

Integrity — NOD Members believe in an ethical standard that rises to the highest levels. The usage of the NOD logo by our members denotes a level of trust that can be readily accepted by comic book buyers; even when no prior business transactions existed between the two individuals. NOD Members demonstrate an adoption and adherence to a strict code of conduct that instills ideals which promote the betterment of the hobby.

Security — Involvement in the NOD requires a degree of openness that exists nowhere else within the hobby. Disclosure of important information to a prospective buyer creates a greater sense of security and trust to help minimize concerns and ensure complete satisfaction with a transaction, both immediately and thereafter.

Education — An educated buyer is a smart buyer. The NOD desires that all buyers—whether collectors, investors or dealers—have all relevant information available to them when contemplating a potential comic book purchase. Education ensures intelligent decisions and intelligent decisions lead to positive and repeat business transactions. The qualities of these behaviors further the enjoyment, longevity and betterment of our hobby.
