Problems with windows vista detecting bluetooth
dongle.
Sometimes
windows vista will loose track of the location where the drivers are stored
and you have to point it to the right location. If when you plug in the
bluetooth dongle windows vista reports that it cannot find drivers, then
follow these steps to get it working.
1. plug in
the dongle and let windows try and recognise it
2. go to start menu run and type devmgmt.msc
3. Find on the hardware list other devices, unknown device
4. Right click and update driver software
5. Select Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer
6. Select Bluetooth Radios
7. The right driver should be shown select it and click next.
If no driver is shown in the box then repeat the steps again but at step 4
select browse and point to folder C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore
Connect to Bluetooth Headphones or headset as headphones with bluesoleil
1. In
Control panel go to sound speech and audio, select bluetooth audio as the
output sound device. Do this also for the CD player output if you want to
listen to CD's
2. In
bluesoleil go to security and set the passkey as 0000
3. Put the
headset into discovery mode.
4. Pair
with the headset,
make sure the headset is still in discovery mode when you
pair with it.
5. Right
click headset icon and select connect and then connect to AV service.
6. Now all
the audio from your computer should be output to the headphones.
Installing Widcomm drivers over Windows XP Service Pack 2 drivers
1. Plug in
USB Bluetooth Dongle, When you plug it in windows will find new hardware, wait
for it to say "Your new hardware is installed and ready to use"
2. Go to
Control Panel, then system, then click the hardware tab and click device
manager. You should now have a list of devices that are attatched to your
system. Somewhere on the list near the top should be "Bluetooth Radios"
3. Click
the plus box next to Bluetooth Radio and then right click Generic Bluetooth
Radio and select update driver. A Hardware update Wizard will appear with 3
options, the last one should say "not this time".
4. select
"Not this time" and click next
5. On the
next screen select "install from a list or specific location" click
next
6. select
"Don't search I will choose the driver to install" click next
7. select
bluetooth radio and click the "Have disk" button
8. Insert
the driver disc it will autorun, but when it does close the window.
9. click
Browse and go to "my computer" you should see the DVD or CD drive
with the disc in it called "BTW Utility" double click on this.
10. OPen
the BTW 4.x.x.x folder and Double click btwusb, it will return to the drive
selection, click OK.
11. You
will see a bluetooth device on the list or maybe 2, highlight the first one.
12. Click
next and wait for the drivers to install (about 2 minutes) then click finish.
13. After
the new drivers are installed, now install the widcomm drivers normally.
Installing Bluesoliel drivers over Windows XP Service Pack 2 drivers
1. Plug in
USB Bluetooth Dongle. When you plug it in windows will find new hardware,
wait for it to say "Your new hardware is installed and ready to use"
2. Go to
Control Panel, then system, then click the hardware tab and click device
manager. You should now have a list of devices that are attatched to your
system. Somewhere on the list near the top should be "Bluetooth Radios"
3. Click
the plus box next to Bluetooth Radio and then right click Generic Bluetooth
Radio and select update driver. A Hardware update Wizard will appear with 3
options, the last one should say not this time.
4. select
"Not this time" and click next
5. On the
next screen select "install from a list or specific location" click
next
6. select
"Don't search I will choose the driver to install" click next
7. select
bluetooth radio and click the "Have disk" button
8. Insert
the Bluesoliel disc (if you have downloaded the drivers from the internet do
nothing) and wait for it to load. It will autorun, but when it does close the
window.
9. click
Browse and go to "my computer" you should see the DVD or CD drive
with the disc in it called "Bluetooth" double click on this.
10. If
you have downloaded the latest drivers, you will need to find the btcusb file
in the download and select this as the location. The downloaded files will
need to be unzipped for windows to be able to see it.

Double click btcusb, it will return to the drive selection, click OK.
11. You
will see 2 x "CSR Bluetooth Device" on the list, highlight the first
one by clicking it once.
12. Click
next and wait for the drivers to install (about 2 minutes) then click finish.
13. Now
go to my computer and double click the bluesoliel disk to run the installation
normally, you will need to restart your computer now.
