Welcome!  I am a life experienced woman who has always loved fashion.  Hats, jewelry, handbags, clothing, coats, furs, scarves...you name it.  From the time I was a little girl, I had the JC Penney & Sears catalog out imagining what clothes & accessories I was going to wear.  I also spent time in the basement with our World Book Encyclopedias, under the Clothing Through the Ages.  I lived on the east side of The Mississippi, across from St. Louis.  When my mom took my sister & I to the downtown St. Louis department stores, all of the ladies had on their matching hats, high heels, handbags & of course, gloves.  I still remember waiting while mom shopped for her clothes, standing at the bottom of the escalator and seeing those ladies, in my mind, floating down those escalators.

Being a a little older in the late 60's & early '70's was a great time to experiment with all kinds of clothing.   You could mix & match practically anything.  Back then, the resale shops were what my mom & grandma called 'junk shops'.  Nothing like they are today.  Shirts for a dime, Lee 3 button, low rise bellbottoms for 50 cents, suede jacket with lining for a dollar.  I still have my greatest find.  A real velvet bolero jacket, 1920's style.  ( It was at the bottom of a pile, they said to take it).  Someday, it will probably be for sale!

I worked for 24 years at a public electric & gas utility in a number of jobs.  Although some were techincal, all had a great deal of customer service involved.  I always wore alot of jewelry, & hats as well.  I always wore a big brimmed hat when I worked out in the sun.  The linemen always said that I didn't follow fashion, I was fashion.  If I had a day in the office with a dress on & they needed me on the job site, I'd be out with a dress & my boots! 

I have been out of the 'real' job market for about 7 years due to my health.  Don't miss it a bit.  I currently have a booth at The Clinton Antique Mall, near my home in Central Illinois, and I am trying to make my way now with what I really like, vintage fashion, jewelry and hats of all kinds, and unique collectibles. 

 I would like to know what type of items you would like to see here in my store.   If you have any special requests of items you have a hard time finding, I would be glad to put it on my list and start looking, too.  I shop at estate sales, rummage sales, small antique shops as well as other antique malls in my area.  I also buy out estates of vintage jewelry, scarves, clothing & accessories, sewing items & materials.  I also deal with smaller size collectibles.
