NZT DESIGNS is a great place to find one of a kind New Zealand, Maori and native art. We are making many new items each week.
Musical instruments? The NAF has become a passion of ours. We are making many flutes, drums, leather bags and rattles that are mostly seen in our vending shows. Many of our flutes have been shipped to the Northern California area. Many thanks to all that have supported us. If you are in the market for a precision made and tuned flute please drop us a line. Our flutes are quality made one at a time and will perform to the highest standards available.
We make Limb or branch flutes, Bamboo and river cane flutes as well as dimensional wood flutes. We make small high keyed flutes all the way up to the very low contra bass keys.
We do beading directly on our flutes or we can even do beading on your personal flute. This is done using the peyote stitch and it is anchored down so it is very tight and does not move. We also do flute wraps of all kinds.

Our Maori art: We are based inside the USA where we are producing traditional & modern Maori art. Our carving affiliation is based from the Tuhoe and Kahungunu tribes of the north islands east coast. Our work force is made up of "Kapden-Niro", a native NZ Maori and me "The New Zealand Trader", a Native American and of Danish, German and Cherokee decent. Together our carving and art experience is over 28 years and running.
Our goal will be to bring wonderful hand made Maori and native crafted items to eBay.

Working hours:
I normally ship Monday through Friday so
your shipping will almost always go out the next working day of the post office.
I work a M-F 8-5 job so please be patient on the e-mails if I don't respond
immediately.
THE TRUTH
ART or Fake Reproduction?
The carvings we do are from pure and raw materials. We never use composite bone or dyed jade. It is not in our nature to do so. Each piece we make is done by hand with raw materials and created as it has been done by true native carvers of New Zealand for centuries. There are so many carvings coming to eBay at ridiculously low prices. One should think of why anyone would spend hours and days on a carving just to sell it for pennies. I know much about why these carvings (that claim to be Maori made carvings) are so cheap. Sources inside New Zealand have spelled the whole concept out to me and tell me that other NZ carvers are not very happy with what is happening to there market. The very worst of this market is actually located inside of New Zealand. These people claim to be selling you authentic Maori made art but at a ridiculously cheap price. Many hours of hard work go into a true carving. Much blood & sweat is produced to make such true treasures. With a good thought from those that really question the idea of why people can sell these low cost items. This is no less than a market that steals from the artist to make profit for themselves. These true artist's work hard to bring quality hand made carvings to the market. If you want something that is quality made and not mass produced, make it your goal to buy pure hand made art.
