GT Racing in the 1960s- to today!

Most of my BUYS and SELL listings will be on eBay Motors: my passions include the Aston Martin, Austin Healey, and Facel marques-- as well as keeping our daily drivers (all North American marques) in shape. Prime interests include the GT/ sports car racing of the 1950s through 1960s, as I'm compiling a monograph on the Aston Martin DB4GT which competed via The Works from 1959 through 1963 (beating the Ferrari GTO it inspired at Monza in September 1963).

I may offer books and posters that are surplus to my core passions -- typically one loses money at a "purchase to own" library! But I am soon offering some racing engineering books.

As a vintage racer I am active with several clubs, most notably as director of membership for www.AMOC-NA.org the North American section of the Aston club.

 

 

 		 

OTHER INTERESTS:

In vehicles, my first ride was (and still is) a 1932 Chevrolet Fire Engine (for which I still seek window garnish moldings!)(The originals were lost in a fire in 1966). The '32 Chev had the lowest build rate since the 'teens, given the Depression - and a high scrap rate given WW II!

My business interests, besides global marketing, include fire protection and life safety, and eBay has helped me find some historical documents in that arena. I remain active in the fire safety industry, especially in aviation security.

As an active public speaker I am not prepared to hide behind some cute anonymous name -- so my name is my brand.

Also, since eBay is the planet's yard sale, some of you may be amused to know my languages include comfort in Spanish and Portuguese... and some understanding of French, German and Italian. In Japanese and Chinese (Cantonese)  at least I can say "good morning" and "thanks"! Of course there are those who say I still have to learn English!
