Descriptions and Photographs

All the items listed have accurate and honest descriptions as though you would be holding the item in your hand, with a loupe and have a professional eye looking at it. My many years experience has given me the knowledge of possible repairs, replacements, originality, fakes and reproductions, etc, which I always point out.

All my items for sale are old and some wear commensurate with the age of the item should be expected. The photographs taken considerably help you to see the item clearly and any problems or repairs would be separately photographed for you to see. I also believe it is vital for you to see the back too and, therefore, this would also be photographed. Please be aware that the close up photographs can sometimes emphasise the item or possible repair, etc. I also list all measurements for your convenience. Dates are approximate unless it is fully hallmarked with the date letter. Testing of any metal is done using the jewellers acids but this can never guarantee such metal and is therefore for your guideline only.

Payment

Paypal is preferred, however, cheques drawn on a UK Bank are acceptable. Any item paid using a cheque or echeque will be sent once payment has cleared. If you are unable to pay using the above methods please email me.

Items are sent as soon as your cleared payment has been received. All items are securely packaged and usually boxed. Combined postage is available and most items can be sent in one parcel at the quoted shipping cost provided adequate insurance is taken.

For UK buyers, Special Delivery is preferable and insurance available up to £500, or £2500 at an additional cost. Recorded delivery is available for lower valued items.

For overseas buyers, Internationally Signed For is preferable with insurance up to £39 or £500 at an additional cost. Lower valued items can be sent via Royal Mail Small Packets service with proof of postage.

Insured postage is always best and is preferred. If the buyer pays for shipping with inadequate insurance cover then it is the buyers responsibility should the item or items get lost, stolen or damaged. For shipping outside the EU, please do not ask me to falsify customs declarations.

Refunds & Returns

Returns are accepted within 7 days of receipt should the item be, by mutual agreement, not as described and in the same condition as it was received. Refunds will be given less any postage incurred. Any overseas returns, please state that this is a RETURN on the outside of the envelope as customs charges are not payable in these circumstances.
