Don't be greedy. Ask a fair starting price.
Don't be greedy, Part II: Ditto on the shipping & handling.
Don't inflate the attributes and downplay the flaws. Every listing gets a thorough "reality check".
Don't lose the item flaws in pretty prose:give it to 'em in RED, loud and clear.
DO: let the highest bidder know you appreciate their payment and their business.
DO: make the first move with lots of communication from end of auction to completion of delivery.
(And while we're at it: DON'T linger so long jumping up and down at those pretty green "SOLDS!" that you drag your feet getting to the post office. Rule of thumb is: pack with TLC and out the door within 48 hours of payment!)
And, finally: DO remember there are people out there behind these eBay handles who want to be treated just the way we do.
