My name is Joni Fisher.  I started making jewelry sometime around 1990 as a hobby.  In the spring of 2001 I started to try to sell my jewelry amidst a lot of encouragement from friends.  At that time I was only doing "people" jewelry.  For more information about me check out my website:  www.jonijewelry.com

 My sister-in-law (who goes by Grace) has always had an interest in sewing and collecting dolls.  She started collecting BJD's about two years ago and discovered there was a real need for well fitting patterns for these unique dolls.  For more about Grace's story, take a look at her website:  www.gracefaerie.com

gracefaerie's first pattern--Lilac Afternoon!

 In January of 2007 we started talking about the idea of starting a business where she made patterns and I made jewelry for BJDs.  And my daughter (Gertie) who goes to SAIC (The School of the Art Institute in Chicago) for fashion design could do some sewing and knitting for them.  In March of 2007 we listed our first auctions and later that month started our store.

So far it's been very satisfying and fun to work together and get to know other people who collect these wonderful dolls.
