About Us

Welcome to J&D Collectibles from the San Francisco Bay Area, located about 35 miles east of Oakland. We specialize in dolls, hand-made figurines, 20th century American silver, and paper collectibles. We've been doing this as a sideline business for about 5 years to provide a few extra bucks. We sell mostly in consignment shops and at local shows, plus every so often will create a special-order figurine for one of our regular customers.

Why nomad55?

Very simple. This user ID honors the 1955 Chevy Nomad, absolutely positively the most sexy, gorgeous body style ever to be created by the Detroit GM design studios. I owned a Nomad back in the 1970's and thought it the greatest car ever made. Still do, even though the Nomad is now only a fond memory.
