I live in the Wilds of Maine. Well, actually we live in a suburb of Bangor that feels pretty wild at times. I sell three categories of things on Ebay – art and OOAK dolls, vintage items and things my family doesn’t need anymore because children grow and tastes change.

I have always loved old things and creating things. My dad likes to tell how I begged to buy a civil war era wooden leg in Searsport, Maine when I was a girl. Maybe I was going to stock up on doll parts, but who knows what that was really about? I loved going to Granny’s house because she would give me a needle and thread and her scrap bag and let me create to my hearts content (but Dixie don’t lose that needle!). I made simple bags then I discovered I could turn the bags inside out, stuff them, embroider them and I had a doll!
I grew up to be a teacher, then studied fine arts at Montserrat College of Art for two years. Recently my love of sewing and my love of art have been intertwined through making OOAK dolls. It is so fun! I've been making a variety of kinds of dolls because I love learning new things. So you may see a really strange doll in my listed items or a very sweet doll. Life needs variety!
