HOW TO BE A SUCCESSFUL BUYER ON EBAY BY
AVOIDING FAKE/COUNTERFEIT ITEMS:
In my 10 years experience buying and selling on ebay I
consider myself an expert. Here's what my experience has taught me: 1.
Question/avoid items being sold or shipped from ASIA (China, Hong Kong, etc.). A
lot of fake items originate from there. 2. Question/avoid pricey auctions with
only one photo, blurred photos, or a single runway/catalog photo. Legitimate
sellers will take several clear photos of the ACTUAL item including the items
inner labels. If an item is authentic then there is nothing to hide. 3. Don't be
afraid to question the seller! Ask for more photos, ask where the item came
from, ask for disclosure of any flaws. 4. If you ask a seller a question and
they do not respond, you probably shouldn't bid on their item(s)! 5. You run
across an auction that seems to good to be true, and so you wonder 'what's the
catch!?' Ask the seller this question, a legitimate seller will have a
legitimate explanation. Some people have GREAT connections with distributors, or
work retail and can get super employee discounts and deals. Some people may be
strapped for cash and need money now thus passing along SUPER DEALS to potential
buyers. There are a lot of different scenarios, if you are curious it's ok to
ask the seller. 6. Avoid sellers that have no return policy. 7. Don't make deals
outside of ebay unless you know and trust the seller! You may not be able to get
your money back! 8. Stick with sellers you trust, add them to your favorite
seller's list! I hope this helps! I wish you successful shopping! -CHARLENE EBAY
