About our computer and electronic sales.
I do all of the work / rework on the items. The items are not sent out to other facilities.
I have over 30 years of component level repair and service in the electronic / computer field. I don’t sell in volume because I take the time to bring you the best possible product.
On the iBooks, I always replace the PRAM capacitor with a new one. What is A PRAM? Its works like the CMOS battery in a PC type computer, maintaining the system configuration and clock. This part has a lifetime of about five years. When it becomes defective it can cause the iBook to act strangely and if it starts to leak, it is corrosive and can cause damage to the circuit board. Many sellers claim to rebuild these systems, but don’t state how or if they are really qualified to work on them.
Many offer larger hard drives then originally installed in iBooks, but I make certain that the drive is electrically supportable. Some of the larger drives draw more current on startup and access then the original drives. Apple did design the Clamshell iBooks to deal with this, but did not install the supporting components in most of them and never in the 366 / 466 models. I install the missing components in all of the iBooks I offer to deal the drive power / load.
What I will not offer is any unlicensed copies of Microsoft, Adobe and other products by companies list in the Ebay VERO program. You should always ask a seller when they are offering these products with their Apple or PC based computers if they are including the licensing and media when the vender is listed in Ebays VERO program. It’s not just the seller who could be violating the laws that protect these venders; it can also affect the purchaser.
Thank you for stopping by, and Happy bidding!
