Anita O'Donnal Arabian Stallion Maar Jewell Gypsy Marie I have been drawing forever. In high school, I would illustrate term papers, influence teachers and buy friends with my drawings. Then life happened and full time art took second place to raising a family and making a home. Now that the kids are on their way to being independent, I'm working on my art again and seeing it from a whole new perspective. I'm discovering the pure joy of creating pieces that my clients and I can enjoy for years to come. Art should be lived not just viewed. Everyday I thank God for the talent he has given me and for the love of a wonderful husband and family. May my work do justice to Him. My artwork is produced with the best quality products available. All original drawings and paintings are completed on acid free rag paper and framed with acid neutral matboard and backing. My prints are from quality print shops on acid free papers. I want my artwork to be enjoyed for many years. In the past, I have been very blessed to have received numerous awards for the drawings I have done. Those include the 1983 George Phippen Western Art Show, several Arizona State Fair shows, the Maricopa County Fair, and various art league shows. I have also been featured on the front page of the Glendale Herald and the Payson newspapers. Awards are nice to receive, but the best experience is when someone sees their finished drawing for the first time. It's like they're getting their old friend back again. Art is life. What may be an ugly dog to some, is the most beautiful thing to it's owner who loves him. He sees the dogs heart and soul, not just the ruffled fur and crooked ears. Love does that. And that's what I try to achieve with my art.
