Chantel and Jay

Hello,

I'm the Old Bag in Old Bag Designs!  I love making art dolls for display, totes and occasionally animals.   I have been sewwing for about 100 years and have owned a craft boutique with a friend(katscountryprims)and advertised my patterns and finished items in Country Marketplace, Better Homes and Gardens, Patterncrafts, and a few other outlets under the name "Humble in Heart". Unfortunately they are no longer in print however the internet offers such a variety of other markets!

I have wholesaled thru Beckman shows in Chicago and Pennsylvania with a rep and have spend many days at craft shows as well....its a fun job but now that I am "an old bag" I enjoy NOT having to get up before the birds to haul heavy displays and merchandise down the mazes of hallways to find your 8x10 cell for the day...hahaha....  I do try to still attend 2 a year because they are a riot!  

  I have been married for 23 years and have 3 grown children 24,21, and 19 and have my 16 year old niece.  We adore and raise teeny Chihuahuas and finches and spend all of our time playing with our Eclectus parrot, dogs, finches and fish....I am happy to say that all of my children were homeschooled and all are serving the Lord in their lives where He has placed them.   Valentines Day was a big holiday this year as my daughter married and I have a new son-in-law Jay.  My youngest recently moved to her first apartment and works in an upscale salon outside of Chicago....We both do hair and speak the same language which is wonderful!  

   I love that my creations are living all over the country and out of the country and hope they bless peoples lives!
